The
recently opened Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai has planned a wide selection of activities especially
for the Holy month of Ramadan.
Dine beneath the moonlit sky in elegant poolside tents with majlis seating
"Lialli Ramadan", or savour splendid Iftar buffets at "Marrakech" Restaurant
which will be themed as a Moroccan night market.
Cooled by the late evening breeze, the resort-styled pool deck of the hotel will
feature three beautiful tents offering a wide selection of mezzeh (appetizers),
delicious hot dishes, saag and oriental sweets. Shisha will be available in a
delightful variety of flavours. A special touch for "Lialli Ramadan" poolside is
the inclusion of daily live food stations featuring Ramadan specialties from
Asia. Light Arabic music completes the unique Ramadan experience.
During Ramadan, the "Marrakech" restaurant will be closed during the day
time but will come to life at sunset with a special Iftar Buffet Menu available
until 8pm. The restaurant will be themed to reflect the famous night market in
Marrakech. Following the Iftar Buffet, the a la carte menu will be served until
late.
For the dining pleasure of non-fasting guests, "Dunes Café" will be open for
breakfast, lunch and dinner with an all day menu complemented by a
wide range of refreshing fruit juices and other energising non-alcoholic beverages.
The hotel's signature restaurant "Shang Palace" will be closed for lunch but
will be open for dinner and the very popular Vietnamese restaurant, "Hoi An"
will also be open for dinner.
Guests staying at the hotel are well catered for with a special room service
menu for "Sahoor". The Sahoor Menu is complemented by a range of specialty juices including Jalab and Tamar Hindi (dates) and Kamar el Dine
(apricots). |
