Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) has appointed Rosemarie Sama to the
position of AIME Exhibition Manager following the resignation of David
Crooke.
“It is with regret that I announce the resignation of David Crooke which
takes effect immediately,” said Debbie Jackson, RTE’s Group Exhibition
Director – MICE Events. “David has resigned for personal reasons, and I
wish him all the best for the future,” Ms Jackson said.
AIME is the AsiaPacific Incentives and Meetings Expo, held annually in
Melbourne, Australia.
David Crooke steered the AIME exhibition through one of the industry’s
most difficult years following the terrorist attacks on New York, and in
Australia, the demise of Ansett. David’s contribution to AIME 2002 and AIME
2003 was clearly evident in the success of those events.
Ms Jackson said that she was delighted to announce that Rosemarie Sama,
AIME Head of Sales, had accepted the position of AIME Exhibition Manager.
“Rosemarie’s contribution and commitment to AIME over the last two years
has been exceptional and I believe she has the drive and enthusiasm to enhance the event even further,” Ms Jackson said.
Ms Sama has more than 10 years experience in the business travel,
incentive and meetings industry, having held senior sales and marketing positions with leading venues. She held the position of Business
Development Manager for the Sydney Convention and Visitors Bureau, Australia, from 1993 -1996. She has also worked as a consultant to the
industry including to leading hotel groups, a luxury cruise line and venues. |
