Air New Zealand has introduced three additional flights between Brisbane
and Christchurch during July to help meet peak season demand for skiing in New Zealand.
The Friday flights, to be operated with 136-seat Boeing 737-300 aircraft, are
scheduled to depart at 12.10am, arriving in Christchurch at 5.35am.
There, they will connect
with an onward service to Queenstown, arriving at 8.25am in time for a full day's skiing.
"Queenstown is New Zealand's most popular tourist destination, and the
gateway to magnificent skifields including Coronet Peak and The
Remarkables," said Air New Zealand's Queensland Manager Mr Russell Bryant.
"Recently we announced weekly non-stop flights between Brisbane and
Queenstown during winter, to meet strong demand from South East Queensland and Northern NSW for New Zealand ski holidays," said Mr
Bryant.
"The non-stop flights have attracted very strong bookings, and demand
remains high. The additional Christchurch services will provide even more
opportunities to take a ski holiday in New Zealand." |
