on Changzhou
With a population of 3.4 million people, the 2,500-year-old city of
Changzhou is situated along the lower Yangtze River in southeastern
China's Jiangsu province. A confluence of waterways, including China's
Grand Canal, connects Changzhou with Nanjing to the west and Shanghai to
the east. Changzhou, which opened to world trade in 1985, is attracting
international businesses by constructing a new port and improving
communication and transport links. |
