AirAsia’s first regional flight from Kuala Lumpur to Phuket
is to commence 8 December 2003. One daily flight will initially be introduced from KL
International Airport (KLIA) to Phuket International Airport with low fares
starting from RM 89.99 one way.
This historic announcement was officially launched by YB Dato’ Paduka
Abdul Kadir bin Haji Sheikh Fadzir, Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism
Malaysia and witnessed by Thailand Ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Chaisiri Anamarn in Kuala Lumpur today. YBhg.
Dato’ Pahamin A. Rajab, Chairman, AirAsia, said “In less than two years of operations we have expanded from four to thirteen
domestic destinations and carried over three million guests. Expanding our
destinations, adding frequencies and extending our route network are all
