The German born, Swiss educated sales and marketing expert, Christina
Bartz, is leaving Asia after 16 years to join the management team of Inwood Hotels in Paris, France.
Ms. Bartz will launch the sales and marketing program for the two newly
constructed, 4-star full service boutique Inwood Hotels in Paris, Hôtel Le Walt
and Hôtel Le Marquis.
Inwood Hotels Paris is a newly formed small hotel group and is managed and
co-owned by Georges A. Chauve and the Hall Financial Group of Dallas, Texas.
Along with her professionalism, Bartz brings to both the Hotel Le Walt and the
Hotel Le Marquis a great wealth of international experience and marketing
knowledge.
Christina's previous positions include Director of Sales and Marketing at the
Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong. The Mandarin Oriental later appointed
Christina to take part in the Rafael Hotel Group Due Dilligence program in
Europe in order to evaluate the Sales & Marketing activities prior to Mandarin
Oriental purchasing the Rafael Hotel Group. The group was acquired by Mandarin Oriental in 2000.
As corporate Director of Marketing for the Marco Polo Hotels in Hong Kong,
Christina Bartz was in charge of the sales and marketing functions for the 3
Hong Kong properties, with a total of 1500 rooms.
Christina was part of the initial management team of Allson International
Hotels & Resorts. As Group Director of Sales & Marketing, she succesfully
assisted in establishing this new hotel company and in ensuring the proper
branding and developments for this new hotel group with a portfolio of 11
hotel properties in the South East Asia region.
It was in Germany with Ramada International, now a division of the Marriott
Hotel Group, that Christina originally began her career in hotel hospitality.
In 1987, Christina was transferred to the Ramada International Asian
Headquarters in Hong Kong. It was during the pre-opening of the Hong Kong
Renaissance Hotel that Mr. Georges Chauve, first worked with Christina.
"Mr. Chauve was opening the flag ship property in Asia for Ramada
International and he worked very closely with us in the regional sales and
marketing office to make certain that the launching of the property was done
well. I quite enjoyed the professionalism of Mr. Chauve", commented Christina.
"It is exciting to be back to Europe, especially to Paris, which is such an
international and inspirational city, and in looking after two intimate boutique-style hotels in top
locations" says Christina, "This is a very different experience, when compared with the past, working for major hotel chains with
large room assignments.
"The hotels in Paris are owned by Inwood Hotels, a newly formed
company. The hotel developments are very exclusive and deserve to be known and talked about around the world by discerning travellers and travel
intermediaries. The owners of Inwood Hotels and I have known each other for
more than 15 years, professionally and on a private, personal level and it is
such a pleasure to be reunited again", concluded Christina.
