Security will be one of the key themes when manufacturers from around
the world descend on Dubai next week in pursuit of lucrative contracts at
the Middle East's top hotel supplies exhibition.
Spanish hotel solutions specialists Onity will launch a new range of
management-friendly electronic safes at The Hotel Show, taking place at Airport Expo Dubai from May 19 - 21.
The company will also use the exhibition to showcase a discreet,
state-of-the-art television surveillance system, specially designed to meet
the needs of the hospitality industry, as well as its range of electronic locks.
Onity is now the largest provider of electronic locks to the hospitality
industry, with 2.5 million installed worldwide, and recently secured a 'preferred global supplier' agreement with Accor.
Organised by event management and marketing specialists, Streamline
Marketing, The Hotel Show creates a "one-stop-shop" for hotel owners, operators and developers. Among the big
international line-up of exhibitors displaying a huge range of products and
services vital to a hotel's day-to-day running is UK-based Neos Interactive
Limited, an emerging leader in the provision of digital news, entertainment
and communications systems to the hospitality industry.
The company, which last month opened its first overseas operation at
Dubai Media City, will be launching an enhanced, simpler and completely customisable entertainment and communications system, Neos TV, which
gives hotel guests quick and easy access to news and entertainment.
One of the UAE's leading manufacturers of banquet and outdoor furniture,
Intermetal Ltd, whose client list includes Radisson SAS, InterContinental
Hotels Group and Le Meridien, will launch a new range of banqueting chairs with ergonomic seats and lumbar support to guarantee longer hours
of comfortable sitting.
Another UAE company, Key Information Technology, the distributor for
Micros-Fidelio, will introduce the latest property management, point of sale,
and material control software products.
"For hotel developers, owners and operators, the exhibition brings
together an enormous range of vital products and services under one roof," said Joanne Evans, director of Streamline Marketing. "The Middle
East hotel industry has been hit hard in recent months but is now turning
the corner, and with a large number of new hotels under development across the region, and many existing properties needing refurbishment,
there is a great deal of business to be won by suppliers."
Other exhibitors include Frette, an Italian makers of exquisite linens, towels
and accessories for famous hotels such as the George V in Paris, and UK-based Metro, manufacturer of shelving systems and trollies, which will
be launching a new range of maid carts.
Held under the patronage of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, UAE Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, The Hotel Show is
owned by dmg World Media, a subsidiary of FTSE100 company The Daily Mail & General Trust
plc.
For a second year it is being staged in conjunction with another dmg World
Media event, The Office Exhibition, the two events being run simultaneously in adjacent exhibition halls. Fully supported by the
Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Hotel Show also has the support of the
UK's Department of Trade and Industry. |
