Thai Airways International (THAI)
has confirmed it is to continue to use e-Travel's fully customisable Web-based travel booking engine,
e-Travel Planitgo, for its website providing THAI with a competitive solution that reduces costs and enhances competitiveness.
e-Travel is the e-commerce business unit of Amadeus GTD. THAI has achieved an impressive 200% year-on-year online reservation
growth in 2003, despite the Iraq War and impact of SARS in the region. With online travel in Asia Pacific forecast to grow by 65% in
2004.
Spearheading THAI's Royal e-Service's online success, Planitgo has
already powered more than 100,000 passenger booking profiles. With Royal e-Service, THAI's passengers can make reservations and online
payments, while taking advantage of e-ticketing and self service check-in
at Royal e-Service Kiosks.
Mr. Wallop Bhukkanasut, Vice President, Marketing Planning Department,

THAI is expected to add more destinations to its international route
network within five years, and new services have already commenced to destinations including India and the Middle East.
