Effective April
1st, Isao Kaneko, currently JAL president and CEO of Japan Airlines System
Corporation (the JAL Group holding company) will become JAL Group CEO and chairman of Japan Airlines.
Japan Airlines System Corporation is the holding company supervising the
integration of Japan Airlines (JAL) and Japan Air System (JAS), which is due
to be completed by April 2004.
The new president of Japan Airlines
is to be Katsuo Haneda, a 38-year JAL
veteran who is currently JAL's executive vice president.
Taking
over from Hiromi Funabiki, as president of Japan Air System will be Minoru Morikawa, with 42
years of experience in domestic aviation companies in Japan and concurrently executive vice president of JAS and executive vice president of
JALS. |
