The Peninsula Hotels have scooped top honours in Conde Nast Traveler’s
Business Travel Awards, taking the No 1 ranking in both the International and
North American categories in the magazine’s October issue.
Business travellers also highly rated Peninsula Hotels for value for money
when on the road, with the three US Peninsulas taking the no 3 slot in the
domestic “Value for Cost” survey, and the Asian hotels coming in at no 4 in
the international rankings on value.
Over two thousand Conde Nast Traveler readers participated in the
magazine’s sixth annual business travel survey, reporting on their recent trips.
Hotels were graded on Rooms Equipped for Working, Business Services/Facilities, Dining/Restaurants, Frequent Guest Privileges, Front Desk
Service, Overall Design and Value for Cost.
“We are delighted that the readers of Conde Nast Traveler have chosen us as
their favoured hotel group, and we will continue to strive to surpass their
expectations whenever they stay with us” says Clement Kwok, Chief Executive Officer of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, owner of
The Peninsula Hotels.
“At the end of the day, business travellers want comfort – and no other hotel
chain on the planet provides it as well, apparently, as the seven urban Peninsula properties” says Conde Nast Traveler.
“Check-in is done in your
room. Buttons on bedside panels let you draw the curtains, adjust the room
temperature and flip on the DO NOT DISTURB sign. Bathrooms have both a speakerphone and a steam-free TV screen above the bathtub. And soon every
room will come with high-speed wireless Internet access. The international
properties – located in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila and Beijing – have the
added distinction of achieving a near-perfect dining score (97.8).”
For The Peninsula Hotels, appealing to the business traveller is a work in
progress, with the most innovative in-room conveniences designed to make
the road warrior’s life easier. The Peninsula Hotels is one of the only hotel groups in
the world operating its own research and development arm, constantly pioneering and leading in the development of intuitive and user-friendly
technology and design to enhance the business traveller’s hotel experience. |
