Hyatt has expanded its Regency brand to the Kingdom of
Cambodia with today's opening of the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh.
The hotel is located in the heart of
Phnom Penh’s cultural and business district of Doun Penh – a
30-minute drive from the airport and within walking
distance of the Royal Palace, National Museum and the riverside.
“We are excited to open our doors and introduce the
Hyatt Regency brand to Cambodia, supporting the country’s
hospitality industry as well as reinforcing Hyatt’s steady and
thoughtful growth in Southeast Asia,” said Herman Kemp, general
manager, Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh. “We look forward to welcoming
business and leisure guests to an energizing new space where they
can recharge, discover locally inspired culinary experiences and
stay connected during a stress-free travel experience, all
delivered with the warm comfort of Cambodian hospitality.”
Conceived by
Singapore-based SCDA Architects and
Thailand-based PIA Interior, the contemporary-meets-colonial
interiors of the hotel reflect Cambodia’s unique history,
seamlessly blending Khmer architectural accents, French colonial
influences, and specially-commissioned artworks by contemporary
Cambodian artist, FONKi.
The hotel features 247 guestrooms and suites which
are all equipped with Hyatt Mobile Entry technology that enables
guests to use their smartphone in lieu of a room key card.
Facilities include a Regency Club Lounge, five F&B
outlets - including a rooftop restaurant and bar which will
feature live DJ performances, 1,400 square meters of meeting and
event space, an outdoor
barbecue area, 22-meter outdoor infinity-edge swimming pool, pool bar, Himalayan salt room, steam room,
24-hour gym and a spa.
