Sabre has signed a long-term distribution
agreement with one of Korea’s largest hotel groups, Lotte Hotels &
Resorts.
Lotte will be connected
to almost 900,000 travel agents across multiple GDS and over 600
online channels across the globe, through Sabre Hospitality
Solutions’ SynXis platform.
The luxury hotel chain has been in business for the past four decades and has
exponentially increased its geographic footprint around the globe.
With 20 properties in South Korea as well as hotels in the USA,
Russia, Japan, Vietnam, Myanmar and Uzbekistan, Lotte’s latest
hotel in Seattle will be its 32nd opening.
“The launch of our private label GDS chain code
“LL” has been one of our key strategies to enhance brand awareness
of Lotte across distribution channels globally. We are hugely
excited about how the dedicated chain code will strengthen the
brand’s visibility and build a more powerful brand presence in the
markets,” said Jinna Yeajin Jang, Chief Marketing Officer of Lotte
Hotels & Resorts. “Our partnership with Sabre, a technology
provider with deep industry expertise and solutions, will bring us
more opportunities to promote Lotte and be recognized as one
strong representative brand as we continue to expand overseas and
become a global hotel group in the future.”
Lotte is expected to migrate more than half of its
hotels to the SynXis platform, starting from this year.
Frank Trampert, Managing Director and Chief Commercial
Officer, EMEA & APAC, Sabre Hospitality Solutions, said, “Lotte
has a long and illustrious history within Korea and the world, and
we are thrilled to be part of its plans for significant further
global expansion ... Our solutions will enable Lotte to further
grow brand awareness in new and existing markets, manage their
portfolio revenue, provide future strategy planning opportunities
and refine their distribution strategies to support their exciting
business goals.”
