Marriott has expanded its portfolio of hotels in
China with the opening of the Sheraton Guangzhou Panyu.
Panyu is renowned for its gastronomic offerings
and one of the birthplaces of Cantonese cuisine. In recent years
the district has also evolved to become a hub for many IT and
digital services companies.
The new Sheraton Guangzhou Panyu sits in the heart
of this vibrant area, accessible by highway from Guangzhou Baiyun
International Airport, 58.5 kilometers away; or Shenzhen Bao'an
International Airport, 81 kilometers away.
The hotel is a 500-meter walk away from
Nancun Wanbo Station on line 7, whilst the Guangzhou South Railway
Station is a 20-minute drive from the hotel.
The hotel is also adjacent to the famous Chimelong
Resort, one of China's most popular theme parks which includes a
safari and water park, as well as performances by an international
circus.
“We are glad and excited to be celebrating the
opening of Sheraton Guangzhou Panyu, which is the 15th Sheraton
branded hotel in Guangdong province alone," said Henry Lee,
President, Greater China, Marriott International. "With over 80
hotels in China, the iconic Sheraton brand has the largest number
of properties among all Marriott brands in the country. The
opening of the beautiful new Sheraton Guangzhou Panyu underscores
our continuing commitment to serving domestic and international
travelers within China, and bringing the unique Sheraton
experience to more cities in the near future."
The hotel features a variety of F&B outlets, a
Club Lounge, 1,375 square meters of event space, a 24-hour fitness
center with an indoor heated infinity pool, steam and sauna rooms,
as well as a Lulur Spa with six treatment rooms and a massage
rooms.
"Sheraton Guangzhou Panyu is the first
international hotel to open its doors in Panyu, and sets a new
standard in the hospitality, social and culinary scene of this
exciting district," said Carson Tam, General Manager, Sheraton
Guangzhou Panyu. "Our guests come here to gather and connect, and
to enjoy the Sheraton experience which combines
intuitively-designed spaces adapted for business and leisure,
