The Grand Richmond Hotel on Rattanathibet Road in
Nonthaburi, just a few kilometres north of Thailand's capital city
Bangkok, is offering an Alternative State Quarantine
(ASQ) package to those who prefer to quarantine in more luxurious
surroundings than may otherwise be available.
The hotel is working with Vibhavadi Hospital and
is one of a few different hotels that have been certified by the
government to offer such quarantine facilities.
Costing 55,000 Baht net per person, guests stay in
an Executive Deluxe Room in the hotel's brand new wing, for 15 nights.
The package includes three meals per day, 20% off
F&B, free WiFi, complimentary welcome drinks, and private car
transfer from either Don Mueang Airport or Suvarnabhumi Airport.
A nurse is on call 24/7, and guests will have
their temperature taken and health checked two times per day. The
package also includes two COVID19 tests which take place on the
5th and 13th day.
It should be noted that if a guest has a fever of
37.5 degrees or more, he or she will be transferred to Vibhavadi
Hospital.
The ASQ package does not include consultation
costs with doctors, transportation costs other than the airport
pick-up, and any other treatments at the hospital other than the
two COVID19 tests.
Reservations need to be made at least 5 days in
advance and the guest will need to present the hotel confirmation
to the Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) upon arrival at the
airport. The hotel will also liaise with the EOC to ensure that
the guest is separated from those going into state quarantine.
The Grand Richmond Hotel recently completed a
multi-million dollar expansion project which included a new wing -
where quarantine guests will stay - and comprehensive MICE
facilities. The company is now renovating the old hotel building
to bring it inline with the new wing's impressive design and
facilities.
