Aerobility’s Grand Auction has taken a real boost
ahead of its conclusion on 28 November, thanks to support from the
Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, The Red Arrows and Breitling.
Not only has Squadron Leader Martin Pert, Team
Leader 2018-2020, donated one of his iconic red flying suits but Squadron Leader Tom Bould, the new Red 1 for the next three
seasons, has joined his team pilots by signing a Breitling Avenger
RAF Red Arrows Limited Edition watch, donated by Breitling.
Bold, extremely robust and shock
resistant, the Breitling Avenger has been released in partnership with
the Royal Air Force and exclusively features the distinctive
emblems of The Red Arrows. The Royal Air Force's signature colours
are reflected in the blue dial with red accents, whilst the Red
Arrows' famous Diamond Nine motif takes pride of place at 9
o'clock.
Squadron Leader Pert said, “This flying suit saw
action with me flying across North America, including down the
Hudson and also in 2020 with the VE Day 75 Flypast. It’s been
signed by the 2020 team and I will even personalise it to the
lucky bidder.”
Squadron Leader Bould said, “I know,
first-hand, from meeting those involved with Aerobility that they
aim for excellence. In this year’s auction, Breitling has donated
an Avenger Automatic GMT 45 Red Arrows Limited Edition.
Commitment, precision and split-second timing are crucial to the
Red Arrows, which makes this a very relevant addition to the Aerobilty auction. To make it even more special, the Red Arrows
team are going to sign this particular watch box. From everyone
here at the Red Arrows we hope you find time to support Aerobility
and its important activities.”
Mike Miller-Smith, CEO at
Aerobility, said, “We are honoured that The Red Arrows and
Breitling continue to support Aerobility. It’s incredible too that
two Red1s have made such kind contributions. We are very grateful.
This year has been particularly difficult, so the ongoing support
of the team and of Breitling means so much and makes a massive difference to those with disability that we teach to fly.”
