Thai Airways is offering passengers departing from the
UK or Ireland with the option of either changing the date of travel, or
getting a refund in the form of a travel voucher.
The airline has waived the applicable change fee to
all existing bookings with departures up to 30 April 2020 so that passengers can rebook their travel up to
15 December 2020 as per its Flexible Rules Policy.
Customers also have the option of requesting a refund in the form of
a travel voucher for the value of their current ticket. The
voucher, which must be requested before 30 April 2020, will be
valid for one year from the original departure date, up to and
including 30 April 2021.
The voucher is only available for those bookings made
in the UK and Ireland with departures from any UK and Ireland
destination to any Thai Airways or Thai Smile destination
between 18 March and 30 April 2020.
No show fees will
still apply, just as they do in the original ticket.
Travellers who booked their ticket directly with
Thai Airways should contact the airline, while for those who
booked their ticket via an agent will need to contact the agent.
If a passenger does not wish to rebook or obtain a travel voucher,
then the refund fees will apply as per the original ticket
conditions.
Thai Airways has stated that it is currently
unable to assist any passengers with departures after 30th April
2020. Terms and conditions apply.
