Etihad Airways has launched Etihad Credit in an
attempt to help customers who wish to delay their travel plans.
Etihad Credit allows travellers to cancel their
ticket - any ticket, any fare type and to any Etihad destination - and get the original value of the booking as a credit
towards their next trip.
Etihad Credit is available for customers who have
booked to travel before 30 June 2020. They have until 30
September 2020 to rebook their trip, for travel until 31 December
2020.
Robin Kamark, Chief Commercial Officer, Etihad
Aviation Group, said, “In these unprecedented times, we understand
that some of our guests are either unable to, or choose not to
travel and it is our responsibility to help them as much as
possible. Now, more than ever, there is a global effort to care
for one another and halt the spread of COVID19 and under these
challenging circumstances. Etihad Credit is our way of helping to
relieve some of the unnecessary burden many of our customers are
facing.”
Additionally, Etihad Guest Members will be gifted monthly bonus
Tier Miles from 31 March for three months to help them maintain
their Tier Status.
Travellers wishing to take advantage of Etihad Credit
should visit Etihad's website and complete the form online.
Etihad Airways is urging guests whose flights are
impacted by COVID19 travel restrictions to refrain from calling
the airline’s customer service lines unless their flights are
scheduled within the next 48 hours.
