Swiss-Belhotel has soft opened its first hotel in
Malaysia.
Located in the traditional fishing village
of Tanjung Lumpur on the east coast of Malaysia, the 27-storey
Swiss-Belhotel Kuantan has 366 rooms and suites.
Swiss-Belhotel
Kuantan is the first stage of the Kuantan Waterfront Resort City
(KWRC), a superb 200-hectare mixed-use development and the
region’s first integrated leisure, retail, dining, entertainment,
hospitality and residential landmark. In addition to the hotel,
KWRC will
feature a marina walk, promenade, business park, waterfront bars and
restaurants - including a floating restaurant, duty-free shopping,
golf course, healthcare hub and tourist resort, as well as a waterpark with a variety of
watersports adding to the appeal.
The hotel features a variety of 10 meeting rooms,
a ballroom, swimming pool, children’s
pool, jacuzzi, and a fitness centre.
There is also a water lounge, lobby lounge, an all-day restaurant,
and room service is available 24 hours.
Mr. Gavin M. Faull, Swiss-Belhotel
International Chairman and President, said, “The fact that we are an
integral part of such a transformative development as KWRC makes
our entry into Malaysia even more special, and we plan to unveil
new properties in other key destinations in the country including
Kuala Lumpur and Melaka.”
Currently Sultan
Ahmad Shah Airport is 25 minutes’ drive from the hotel and
offers connections to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Penang. Kuantan will be one-hour from Kuala
Lumpur once the ECRL (East Coast Rail Link) is
completed in 2026.
