Air Astana will launch twice weekly flights to
Maldives on 5 December 2020.
The airline will operate the route on Wednesdays
and Saturdays, increasing the frequency to thrice weekly, with an
additional flight on Mondays, from 21 December.
Air Astana will fly its Airbus A321LR aircraft, configured with 16 Business class
seats and 150 Economy class seats, on the new service.
The lie-flat business class seats are equipped
with 16-inch individual entertainment screens. In
economy class, the Recaro seats provide increased comfort for long
flights and are equipped with 10-inch seat-back screens.
Due to the expected high demand during the
year-end holidays, flights from 16 December 2020 to 16 January
2021 will be operated by the wide-body Boeing 767 aircraft, providing additional seat capacity.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, flights will depart
Almaty at 01:20 and arrive in Male at 07:05. On Mondays, flights will depart Almaty at 01:30
and
arrive in Male at 07:15. The return service is scheduled to depart from Male
at 19:35 and arrive in Almaty at 03.10 the following day.
Maldives and Kazakhstan both requires travellers
entering their country to have a negative COVID19 PCR test result
dated not older than three days from the time of arrival.
Travellers should check with the relevant authorities for the
latest regulations and requirements.
