Qatar Airways has confirmed plans to resume
flights to New York (JFK) from today (19 June) and to Boston, Los
Angeles and Washington Dulles from 1 July 2020.
The New York flights will take off today with just
the one flight, increasing to daily from 22 June and 10 weekly
from 2 July.
The airline will operate the Boston flights
five times per week increasing to daily from 1 August 2020.
The Los Angeles flights will commence with a
thrice weekly service increasing to five
per week from 17 July and six per week from 1 August 2020.
Flights to Washington, D.C. will resume with five
per week increasing to daily from 1 August 2020.
Qatar Airways’ New York flights and five-weekly
Boston flights will facilitate the resumption of the JetBlue
codeshare. Passengers will immediately be able to book travel
across the entire JetBlue network on 70 flights per day to 46
destinations.
In addition to the resumption of flights to JFk,
Boston, LA and Washington, Qatar Airways also operates flights to
Dallas-Fort Worth and Chicago.
Qatar Airways' cabin crew wear Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) suits when on board, and the airline has modified
its in-flight service
reducing interactions between the passengers and the crew.
Passengers are also required to wear face coverings inflight,
with the carrier recommending travellers bring their own for fit
and comfort purposes.
