Bangkok Airways Increases COVID19 Screening at Airports in Samui, Sukhothai and Trat

Bangkok Airways has increased the number of screening points at three of the airports it owns in Thailand in an attempt to help prevent the spread of COVID19 in the country.

There are now handheld thermoscan screening points at both domestic and international departure halls of its airports in Samui, Sukhothai and Trat.

Additional screening points have been set up for passengers, employees and outsourced personnel as follows:

- Samui Airport: A total of 7 screening points have been installed at designated areas including check-in area, domestic departure checkpoints (for online check-in passengers), international departures checkpoints (for online check-in passengers), entrance 3 (for staff working in restricted areas), entrance 2 (for cargo personnel or drivers in restricted areas meeting point located in the arrival hall and entrance 7 for air catering staff and ground support equipment staffs.

- Sukhothai Airport has added screening points for passengers at the domestic departure hall and airport staff are also required to pass the screening point at the designated registration area before working.

- Trat Airport has added 2 screening points for passengers at the check-in area and at the entrance to the common area connected to the arrivals hall. All airport personnel are required to pass the screening point at the designated registration area before they start work.

If any passenger or employee is found with a high body temperature or suspected of COVID19 symptoms, the staff shall coordinate with the airline and airport medical services and notify public health officer at such port immediately.
