Thai Airways International has launched what it
calls a “Thailand Homecoming” campaign, with special
scheduled flights between London Heathrow and Bangkok, Thailand.
Thai Airways partnered with the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and the Royal Thai Embassy in London to operate
flight TG917 every Sunday from now until December 2020.
Flights are scheduled to depart from London at
21:35 and arrive in Bangkok at 16:00.
Flights are being sold as one-way tickets, and
passengers can use existing tickets as well as ROP award tickets
on the special flights, though terms and conditions do apply.
The aircraft will also feature
Thai Economy Plus
seats in the first four rows of Economy Class. These seats cost
more, but guarantee that passengers are seated in every other seat,
giving them more comfort and privacy. Additional benefits
include priority check-in, an extra five kilograms of baggage
allowance and a better meal selection.
The flights are mainly for Thais in the United
Kingdom and neighboring countries who wish to return to Thailand,
foreign businessmen, and foreigners holding work permits.
Reservations can be made through Thai
Airways website. More information is available through the
Thai Airways Ticket Office in London and the Thai Airways Contact
Center in Bangkok (+662-356-1111) from 08:00-20:00 Thailand time
(long distance rates may apply).
Passengers are also required to
register with the Royal Thai Embassy in London prior to
travelling.
Everyone flying into Thailand must do a mandatory
14-night quarantine.
