IHG has signed a deal with Tuyet Lien Son Co Ltd to
expand its upscale voco brand to Vietnam.
The voco Ma Belle Danang hotel, which is already
near completion, will also be the first voco to open in South East Asia.
The 290-room hotel is located next to the
beachfront, along the main thoroughfare of the coastal city, 1.5km
from Danang city centre and 5km from Danang International Airport.
Serena Lim, Vice President, Development for IHG,
South East Asia & Korea, said, “As a brand, voco presents an opportunity to access the
upscale segment fast, backed by the power of our IHG enterprise
and systems. With the increasing development and sophistication of
Danang, we felt this was the perfect time to introduce a youthful
and playful brand into the market. And, with Vietnam’s strong
growth trajectory, we are confident that voco will continue to
expand to other locations as a core upscale offer of IHG Hotels &
Resorts.”
The hotel will feature one of the city’s only rooftop
bars, an infinity-edge pool, an
all-day dining restaurant, extensive range of residential-style
meeting facilities, a gym and a spa.
Nguyen Tuyet, Deputy General Director, Tuyet Lien
Son Co Ltd, said, “We built this hotel with a vision to give
guests a fantastic lifestyle experience through which they can
truly be themselves. Guests should have a fabulous time, feel the
energy of love and happiness when they stay with us. This was epitomised in the ‘Ma Belle’ personality that I sought for the
hotel, inspired by the Vietnamese mature woman who is confident,
sophisticated and warm and who carries the positive energy of
youth, love and peace.”
There are currently more than 35 voco properties either
open or in the pipeline, including hotels in Australia, the UK,
Montenegro, UAE and China. Over the next few years, new hotels are
set to open in Germany, France, Netherlands, Egypt, Poland,
Cyprus, South Africa and Thailand.
