FlyArystan, a division of Air Astana, has unveiled plans to expand its base
in Almaty with the launch of flights from the city to both Aktobe and Kostanay.
The low cost airline also plans to add significant
capacity on existing routes, in time for the peak summer season.
When comparing the planned destinations for
summer 2020 versus summer 2019 FlyArystan has doubled the number
of destinations served from Almaty from 6 to 12, and nearly
doubled summer seat capacity with an increase in weekly seats of
90% to the southern capital.
The continued network expansion of FlyArystan is
made possible due to the arrival of the airline's fifth aircraft,
which is scheduled to join the fleet in March 2020.
The airline
will operate the Almaty-Kostanay service on a daily basis from 12
March this year, while the Almaty-Aktobe flights will operate
thrice weekly.
Other highlights of FlyArystan's additional flying
schedule for summer 2020 include:
• Almaty-Shymkent-Almaty services from daily to
13x weekly. An 86% increase in capacity;
• Almaty-Pavlodar-Almaty services from daily to
10x weekly. A 43% increase in capacity;
• Almaty-Nur-Sultan-Almaty services from 2x daily
to 3x daily. A 50% increase in capacity; and
•
Almaty-Karaganda-Almaty services from daily to 9x weekly. A 29%
increase in capacity.
Janar Jailauova, Director of Sales and Marketing of
FlyArystan, said, "FlyArystan started operations
just before the summer last year. Hundreds of thousands of people
were able to explore with us then and with the growth of aircraft
in Almaty this year, with new routes and more capacity for the
summer even more people will be able to take to the skies to
explore or to catch up with relatives and friends."
The airline will also soon launch flights between Almaty and Nur-Sultan to
Kyzylorda, as well as to Petropavlovsk and Kokshetau from Almaty.
FlyArystan now has flights available to 12
destinations from Almaty.
