The Bali Hotels Association (BHA) has appointed Jean
Hélière, General Manager of Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, as
Chairman, and Fransiska Handoko, General Manager of Ristata Bali
Resort & Spa, as Vice Chair.
The new Chairman and Vice Chair will now work
toward selecting their board, which will be announced
next month.
“The new board will play a key role in the
implementation of various programs that the association has
planned for 2021,” said Mr. Hélière. "Each executive member will
be responsible for a different area to ensure that BHA remains at
the forefront as a role model in the island’s hospitality
industry. The main focus is still on sustainable tourism,
environmental issues and conservation.”
The BHA represents approximately 157 hotels,
accounting for 27,148 rooms in total.
“It has been always our objective to utilize the
wealth of experience and expertise of all our board members. We
come together in unison to represent the hospitality industry of
Bali and ensure that the island remains a popular holiday
destination to travelers from around the world,” said Ms. Handoko,
the association's first female Vice Chair.
