Ascott has expanded its portfolio of properties in
Thailand with the opening of the lyf Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok, the
first lyf property in the Kingdom.
Located in one of the trendiest shopping and
entertainment hotspots in the city, lyf Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok is
surrounded by a plethora of cafes, bars and restaurants, and is
just a short walk from Nana BTS Skytrain station.
Mr Brian Tan, Country General Manager of Ascott
International Management, Thailand and Laos, said, “We are excited
to open the first lyf property in Thailand. This is also Ascott’s
second operating lyf property globally, after lyf Funan Singapore
which opened in September 2019 to resounding demand. Millennials
already account for a quarter of Ascott’s client base and this
segment is poised to grow further.”
lyf Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok offers 196 innovatively
designed
studios as well as multi-functional social
spaces such as the ‘Connect’ co-working and lounge zone, a 'Bond'
social kitchen, a ‘Wash & Hang’ laundromat, an outdoor terrace and
‘Burn’, a rooftop fitness area.
“Beyond the live-work-play
experience that our guests are accorded, we also deliver on our
commitment to stringent hygiene and cleanliness standards with our
#AscottCares programme and we have also received the Safety &
Health Administration (SHA) certification for our enhanced hygiene
and safety standards. We have a dynamic team of lyf Guards and
Ambassador of Buzz who are well-equipped to take care of the needs
of our guests at the property and connect them with the local
community,” Mr Tan added.
lyf Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok is the first of 5
properties that Ascott will manage in partnership with Ananda
Development Plc and Mitsui Fudosan Asia Development (Thailand)
Co., Ltd.
Included in the pipeline is Somerset Rama 9
Bangkok scheduled to open this year, followed by Ascott Embassy
Sathorn Bangkok and Ascott Sukhumvit Thonglor Bangkok in 2021 and
Somerset Blue Coast Pattaya scheduled for 2022.
