Plaza Premium has opened its first
common-use airport lounge in the USA.
The opening of the Plaza Premium lounge at Dallas
Fort Worth International Airport, the 18th such lounge in
the Americas, follows the company’s airport meet and greet service
launched last year.
Located near Gate E31 in Terminal E, the lounge is a two-minute walk
from the Skylink which connects travellers to other terminals.
“At DFW Airport, our focus
on the customer continues to drive our business strategies,
programmes, enhancements and partnerships,” said Ken Buchanan,
EVP of Customer Experience and Revenue Management of DFW
Airport. “We welcome partnering with Plaza Premium Group because
their hospitality services are highly respected. We are confident the Plaza Premium Lounge will be a popular destination
in Terminal E.”
Occupying more than 1,400 square feet, the
WiFi-enabled space features a variety of zones and seating options to suit
different travellers’ preferences when they depart and transit
at the terminal.
The lounge, open daily between 06:00 and 13:00 in
September, can be accessed with eligible American Express cards and
select travel pass. Travellers can also book online in advance or walk-in for 3-hour use at US$45,
while younger guests aged between two and 11 receive 30% off. Each paying guest gets one complimentary access for a child
aged under two.
“This is certainly a good time to introduce our Skytrax-winning
Plaza Premium Lounge experience to travellers as the airport’s domestic traffic
has been resuming steadily since April,” said
Song Hoi-see, Founder
and CEO of Plaza Premium Group. “The latest airport
statistics show that there were more than 3 million domestic
passengers in July 2020. Combining the meet and greet
services, we are now able to present a seamless airport
hospitality journey at the airport.”
