Virtual Laguna Phuket Marathon to Take Place 13-14 June 2020

With the 15th Supersports Laguna Phuket Marathon (SLPM) postponed until 5-6 December 2020, event organisers have taken the opportunity to set up virtual races.

Scheduled to take place this weekend (13-14 June), the SLPM's original event dates, participants can choose their preferred distance from the 2K Kids Run, 5K, 10.5K, Half or full Marathon available.

Entry is free to all existing SLPM registered runners.

For runners who have not yet registered for the SLPM in December, the entry fee for the virtual race is USD 3 per person – which will be fully donated to the Kao Kon La Kao Foundation.

Runners are required to complete their individual races anywhere in the world on 13-14 June 2020, whilst following local public health regulations, and should submit their data online from 13-19 June 2020.

Registration is open until 12 June 2020.

Paul Wilson, SAVP Laguna Phuket, said, “After taking the decision to postpone the SLPM 2020 to 5-6 December in view of the global COVID19 situation, we feel it is important to provide a new platform to engage with our thousands of supportive repeating runners from around the world. Laguna Phuket has a rich history of sporting events and we appreciate the benefits exercise can have to both physical and mental health during this challenging time.”
