Thai Airways and Thai Smile have become the first
airlines in the Kingdom of Thailand to receive the Safety &
Health Administration (SHA) logo.
Mr. Wiwat Piyawiroj, Executive Vice President,
Commercial, Thai Airways International, and Mrs. Netnapang
Thirawas, Chief Executive Officer, Customer Services, THAI Smile
Airways, received the SHA logo from Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn,
Tourism and Sport Minister, at Siam Paragon. Mr. Yuthasak
Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, also
attended the ceremony.
Whether it is a repatriation or commercial flight
both airlines follow strict measures implemented to protect staff
and passengers from COVID19. The cabin crew wear protective suits, medical masks, and gloves while
providing services and observed passengers with possible symptoms.
Cabin rooms and cockpits are also sterilized and deep cleaned.
Special measures are also taken during check-in,
passenger boarding, seat arrangement, inflight meals, and
disembarkation.
The SHA is designed to build confidence with
domestic and foreign traveller through an official recognition of strict cleaning protocols used to evaluate ten categories
of service within in the tourism industry, such as accommodation, restaurants, tour
agents, department stores, and vehicles.
