Premier Inn to Add 735 Beds to Scotland Portfolio in 2020

Whitbread will this year expand Premier Inn's presence in Scotland by opening five new hotels, including a new 249-bed hotel in Glasgow’s St Enoch Square and an 136-bed hotel on Edinburgh’s world-famous Princes Street.

Altogether, Premier Inn will grow by 735 new beds in Scotland this year – a mixture of the five new hotels and extensions.

The openings represent an investment of over £70 million, and will create an estimated 200 new jobs.

2020 Scottish openings

- Aviemore 60-bed hotel-bed hotel
- Edinburgh City Centre Waverley 136
- Glasgow St Enoch Square 249-bed hotel
- Glasgow Hamilton 96-bed hotel
- Thurso 85-bed hotel

Additional room capacity is also being added to hotels in:

- Edinburgh East
- Fort William
- Inverness West

Premier Inn is opening 37 hotels, comprising around 4,000 rooms, during the course of the calendar year UK-wide.
