John Saabas Joins Bombardier Transportation as Head of Engineering and Technology

Bombardier Transportation has appointed John Saabas as Head of Engineering and Technology.

Mr Saabas joins Bombardier from Pratt & Whitney Canada where he has been President since 2009. During his 35-year career with Pratt & Whitney, Mr Saabas held numerous leadership positions in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations and Procurement.

He also earned a PhD in Aerodynamics from McGill University and holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.

Mr Saabas will report directly to Bombardier Transportation President, Danny Di Perna and will lead the company’s global technology and product development activities.

He will also work closely with Bombardier Transportation’s senior leadership team to improve productivity, project execution and customer satisfaction.
