Mark Simmons has joined Forbes Travel
Guide as Senior Vice President, Partner Services - Asia Pacific.
A British and Australian national, Mark is a
well-established sales and marketing professional, with more than
25 years of luxury hospitality experience.
Mark has held
senior-level positions for leading hospitality brands in Asia, the
Middle East, and the Pacific.
He began his career in the hospitality
industry with Radisson Hotels in Australia in 1987. He moved to
Asia and joined Century International Hotels in 1991 and held
senior property based Sales and Marketing roles until 1997 in Hong
Kong and Bangkok as well as pre-opening assignments in Indonesia
and Vietnam.
At the end of 1997, Mark joined the
award-winning Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai as Director of Sales
and Marketing. In 1999 he re-joined Century International Hotels
as Vice President Marketing & Sales based in Hong Kong, and in 2001
was responsible for the Sales & Marketing integration of the
Century Group into Accor Hotels following the acquisition of
Century by Accor.
Since then, Mark has also worked as Area Managing Director,
Asia Pacific, Preferred Hotel Group; Vice President Sales and
Marketing for SilverNeedle Hospitality; Vice President Sales and
Marketing, Asia Pacific, Outrigger Hotels & Resorts; and Area
Sales and Marketing Head of Swiss-Belhotel International Asia.

Mark will be based between Forbes' offices in
Hong Kong and Singapore.
