AccorHotels has expanded its midscale Novotel
brand to Haikou, the capital city of Hainan
province.
Located on Xinbu Island, a newly developed area
in the northeast part of Haikou city, the 141-room Novotel Haikou Xinbudao
is a 40-minute
drive from Haikou Meilan International Airport and 90 minutes by
high speed train from Sanya. Haikous downtown area, with its 700-year-old arcade and streets
featuring local delicacies, is a five-minute taxi ride away.
As the
first Novotel in Hainan province and the brands 27th hotel in
Greater China, Novotel Haikou Xinbudao is opening at the right
time when Haikou is set for a starring role in recently-announced
plans for the islands transformation into Chinas largest free-trade zone, which will fuel Hainans development and bring
substantial new business opportunities, Said Gary Rosen, Chairman
and Chief Operating Officer, AccorHotels Greater China.
The hotel features a variety of F&B options,
meeting space that includes an 800 sqm pillar-less ballroom that can
host up to 600 guests, a fitness centre, kids club, an
outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court.
The hotels General Manager is Mr. Jack Lin.
