Minor Hotels Group has strengthened its
relationship with the Vietnam-based Novaland Group, with the
signing of three new Avani hotels in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), Vung
Tau, and Cam Ranh.
The Avani Vung Tau Resort is located in the port
city of Vung Tau, just two hours by car or hydrofoil from Ho Chi
Minh. An important
trading port dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries, Vung Tau boasts some of Vietnam’s most scenic beaches. The Avani Vung Tau is
scheduled to open by the end of 2019 and will feature 149
oceanfront and hillside rooms.
Scheduled to
open at the end of 2021, the Avani Saigon is located in the
historic District 1 of Vietnam’s largest city and is
surrounded by a blend of colonial and modern architecture with
street-side cafes and coffee shops. Just a 30-minute drive from
the Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the 217-key property will
be part of a 38-storey mixed-use complex that includes retail shops
and residences and will feature an all-day dining restaurant and
an AvaniSPA.
Avani Cam Ranh Resort & Villas, opening at the
end of 2022, will
feature 300 rooms and suites, as well as 315
private villas, an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty bistro, a beach club,
and 1,200 square metres of meeting and banquet space.
Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels, said, “Avani is one of
our fastest growing brands, and we are pleased to be working with Novaland Group to develop three properties in Vietnam as part of
Minor Hotels’ strategic expansion in Southeast Asia. Vietnam is
one of the region’s most dynamic economies with tremendous growth
potential in both domestic and international tourism, thanks to a
winning combination of cultural attractions and natural beauty. We
look forward to expanding our footprint in Vietnam with Novaland
Group and to creating an exceptional product for Avani guests.”
Avani currently operates 24 hotels and resorts
in 15 countries and has 15 new hotels in the pipeline.
