Travellers flying with Vietnam Airlines' Airbus
A350 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh
(Saigon) from 1 July 2019 will be able to enjoy the extra space, comfort
and benefits of Premium
Economy class
Premium Economy class costs VND 500,000
more than Economy Flex, and includes Lotus Lounge access, enhanced food and beverage, dedicated
priority check-in counters and priority boarding lanes.
Passengers can enjoy additional benefits on
flights such as welcome drinks, hot towels, hot meals, a wider
selection of drinks and upgraded entertainment system.
Premium Economy class passengers get a standard
baggage allowance of 30kg plus two pieces of hand luggage.

President of Vietnam Airlines said:,“The introduction of our new
Premium Economy class for the first time between Hanoi and Ho Chi
Minh is due to the significant premium demand seen on this
route, further reaffirming our unwavering commitment to enhancing
our product portfolio. This is part of our long-term strategy to
retain our 4-star rating by continuously upgrading products and
services as suggested by Skytrax and to become the first airline
in Vietnam to reach for a 5-star rating.”
To celebrate, Vietnam Airlines will
offer special rates of VND 3 million (excluding taxes and fees),
equivalent to Economy Flex class rates, applicable to purchases
from 1 July to 15 July 2019 for departure from 1 July to 31 October
2019. Platinum, Gold and Titan Lotus mile members are upgraded
to Premium Economy class for free when purchasing Economy Flex
tickets in July. Terms and conditions apply.
Vietnam Airlines' Premium Economy
class has previously been available on international flights to
Japan, Korea, Australia, the United Kingdom, France and Germany.
