The Okura Prestige Bangkok has appointed Niek Hammer as
General Manager.
The
42-year old Dutch hospitality professional from Enschede in
Holland holds a Bachelors degree in Hotel Management and a
Masters diploma in International Service Management, both from
the Christelijke Hogeschool (University of applied sciences) Noord-Nederland.
Niek began his career in 1996 at Hotel The Grand, a Westin
hotel in Amsterdam before spending two years at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort, a Marriott
hotel in Braselton, Georgia.
From 2000-2005, and again from 2008-2016, Niek
worked at Hotel Okura Amsterdam, rising to Assistant F&B Director
in his first stint and later to Deputy General Manager.
Married with three children, Niek joins The Okura Prestige
Bangkok from Hotel Okura Macau where he held the General Managers
position for three years.
