The Next Story hospitality group has appointed
Christopher Ely as Vice President of Business Development and
Asset Management.
Based in Singapore, Chris joins the Asia Pacific
leadership team and will be responsible for developing and
executing Next Story’s regional expansion plans.
Chris
joins Next Story Group from Jones Lang Lasalle Hotels and
Hospitality Group, where he was Senior Vice President of Asset
Management and Strategic Advisory, overseeing numerous luxury and
midscale resorts and hotels in and around the region including a
key focus in the Indian Ocean, Maldives and Seychelles.
Prior to that, Chris was Corporate Director of Planning and
Support - Asia Pacific for Outrigger Resorts. Previously, he was
with Jumeriah Group for 10 years in the Operations and the
Development team. He has also worked as Hotel Manager of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai
and General Manager of Jumeirah Dhevanafushi in Maldives.

The company currently owns, manages, franchises
hotels and resorts, bearing brands that include Next, Sage and
LinQ. It also manages five Kafnu properties and is headquartered
in Singapore with regional offices in Sydney and Bengaluru.
