Sichuan Airlines has launched non-stop flights
between Chengdu and Helsinki, Finland.
Originally, Sichuan Airlines had planned to
launch direct flights from Chengdu to Copenhagen but later decided
to stop in Helsinki first, transforming
the airline's original Chengdu-Copenhagen service into a
Chengdu-Helsinki-Copenhagen service.
The airline will operate the route with Airbus
A330 aircraft two times per week on
Mondays and Fridays.
Flight 3U8271 is scheduled to depart from Chengdu at
02:00 and arrive in Helsinki at 6:00. The flight then departs
from Helsinki at 08:35 and arrives in Copenhagen at 09:10.
Flight 3U8272 is timed to depart from Copenhagen
at 10:55 and arrive in Helsinki at 13:35. It then
departs Helsinki at 15:45 and arrives back in Chengdu at 05:00 the
following day.
Since the beginning of this year, Sichuan
Airlines has launched non-stop flights from Chengdu to Hanoi, Ho
Chi Minh (Saigon), Helsinki, Istanbul, Rome and Yangon.
Sichuan Airlines passengers who depart from
mainland China/overseas (regional) airports and take connecting
flights in Chengdu are entitled to a range of transit benefits,
including free accommodation, coffee break service and meal, VIP
lounge, rapid security check and visit to Chengdu Research Base of
Giant Panda Breeding.
