China Airlines Cargo Services has become the
first carrier in Taiwan, and one of only 17 in the world,
to be certified by the IATA Center of Excellence for Independent
Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma).
China Airlines' CEIV certification commenced in
2018 in a bid to standardize service processes and promote Taiwan
as a hub.
Eddy Liu, Vice President of China Airlines Cargo
Services, said, "We value every chance we get to provide our
transportation services to suppliers. The construction of a more
complete operating process and more professional personnel
training standards will help ensure the quality and timeliness of
pharmaceutical logistics. We are proud to have gain the first CEIV
Pharma certification in Taiwan as it represents recognition of
China Airlines continued improvements to the quality of cargo
services."
CEIV was
established by IATA to provide a consistent, stable, reliable and
efficient transportation standard for pharmaceuticals. Rigorous
auditing and certification of every step in the carrier's
pharmaceutical logistics process effectively improves the
stability of pharmaceutical deliveries and reduces the impact on
drug quality from variable environments during transportation. In
addition to satisfying the high standards set by the customer for
the transportation process to reduce loss of cargo, it also
injected the air cargo industry with a new wave of growth and
profits.
