Scruffy Murphy’s, an Irish café-pub
in Singapore that closed down in 2012 after 7
years in operation, is returning to the city with a new outlet in Pasir Panjang
on the west coast.
The pub, which will open this month, will feature 10 international beers on tap
including Guinness, Kilkenny, Magners, Heineken and Peroni,
complimented with a selection of other local and imported draft
beers.
The original Scruffy Murphy’s was located in East Coast Park
and had to close when the National Parks Board decided not to renew the master
lease for tenants in the area as it had been earmarked for
re-development.
In addition to televised sporting events and a
wide variety of drinks, the new Scruffy Murphy’s will also serve traditional
Irish fare such as
Morel Mushroom Soup, Fish n’ Chips, Beef Burgers, Scruffy’s Big
Breakfast and a delicious homemade Apple Crumble.
Hand-made pizzas and a selection of Italian coffee,
smoothies and freshly squeezed juices will also be available.
Scruffy’s will be open Mondays to Thursdays and
Public Holidays from 11:00 to midnight and on Fridays to Sundays
from 07:30 to 01:00. On the eve of public holidays, Scruffy’s is
open from 11:00 to 01:00.
Scruffy’s is a sister outlet of
the hugely popular Muddy Murphy’s pub on Orchard Road.
