Thai Airways has unveiled plans to launch direct
flights between Bangkok and Sendai, Japan.
Scheduled to commence on 29 October 2019, Sendai
will be Thai Airways 6th destination in Japan, after Tokyo,
Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo.
Thai Airways will operate the Bangkok-Sendai flights
three times per week with Boeing
777-200 aircraft configured with 30 seats in Royal Silk Class and
279 seats in Economy Class.
TG 626 is scheduled to depart from Bangkok every Tuesday,
Thursday and Saturday at 23:50, arriving in Sendai at 07:30 the
following day. From Sendai, TG 627 is timed to depart on Wednesdays, Fridays
and Sundays at 11:15 and land in Bangkok at 16:05.
To celebrate the new route, Thai Airways is
offering a special return fare of 13,420 Baht per person and 12,820
Baht per person when travelling in a group of four or more
passengers, including taxes and surcharge fees. Tickets must be issued by 31 August 2019 for travel
between 29
October and 20 December 2019.
Sendai is located on Honshu Island at the center of
the Tohoku region, 300 kilometers north east from Tokyo. Sendai
attracts around 3.5 million visitors per year.
