Josh Held has joined Wimberly Interiors New York as Vice President and Director of
Entertainment.
Josh has over 20 years of experience in creating and re-inventing hospitality design. Prior
to joining Wimberly Interiors, Josh founded his own practice –
Josh Held Design – where he worked primarily on nightlife, gaming,
retail, F&B and lifestyle
hospitality projects.
After receiving a Bachelor of Architecture from
University of Texas at Austin in 1995, he moved to New York City
where he joined the Rockwell Group. He spent 11 years as a Senior
Associate garnering numerous awards and nominations for projects
that embodied all aspects of hospitality and entertainment
architecture.
At
Wimberly Interiors, Josh will spearhead the firm’s entertainment,
gaming, nightlife, and retail design projects, rounding out the firm’s robust offerings in the United States, the UK, Europe and
Asia Pacific.
He will report to Margaret McMahon, Managing
Director.
“We are so excited to bring on a designer with such an innovative
and distinct aesthetic. Josh and I have had a long-standing friendship and respect for each other’s work. We’ve always shared
the belief that every space has a story to tell and design is an integral part of telling that story. This mindset is an important
component of my approach to hospitality and his vision will infuse
a new and complementary aesthetic into our team,” said Ms.
McMahon.
