Finnair has signed a comprehensive codeshare
agreement with LATAM Airlines
Group.
The deal covers flights between Finnairs hub in Helsinki (HEL) and LATAMs hubs in So Paulo
(GRU), Brazil, and in Santiago (SCL), Chile, via five European
gateways: London (LHR), Paris (CDG), Madrid (MAD), Barcelona (BCN)
and Milan (MXP).
As part of the codeshare agreement, Finnairs AY
code will be added to LATAMs transatlantic flights between
Finnairs gateways in Europe and LATAMs hubs in So Paulo and in
Santiago. The cooperation will offer new destinations for Finnair
customers, as LATAMs flights will be the first ones flown to
South America with a Finnair code.
Likewise, LATAMs LA
code will be added to Finnairs flights between Helsinki and
London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Milan, providing LATAM
passengers with access to Finland.
The new codeshare
flights to So Paulo and Santiago are available for sale via
Finnair.com as of today, for flights starting 1 October 2019.
As part of our commitment to connecting Latin
America with the world, this new agreement will offer our
passengers easier access to the exciting destinations in Finland
via Helsinki, said Soledad Berrios, Director of Strategic
Alliances at LATAM Airlines Group. We also look forward to
welcoming Finnair customers onboard and offering them the chance
to experience our Latin American hospitality.
