Airbnb Launches Record Holders Collection

In an attempt to differentiate itself from other OTAs, Airbnb has launched the 'Record Holders Collection'.

The collection celebrates the launch of the Guinness World Records 2020 edition, which was released globally on 5 September 2019, and gives customers the chance to try out exclusive Airbnb Experiences hosted by Guinness World Records title holders.

Some of the record-breaking experience hosts from GWR 2020 include:

Lisa and Chris Pitman - Most pine boards broken in one minute with one hand (male and female) - Power Breaking with the Pitmans, Kent, UK.

After securing their most recent Guinness World Records titles with over 500 blocks smashed in one minute between them ( Lisa 230, Chris 315), the Pitmans husband and wife duo are now welcoming people into their power-breaking world. They will show guests how to smash tiles, boards, blocks and bricks with their bare hands during their Airbnb Experience.

Getti Kehayova (pictured) - Largest hula hoop spun - Hula Hoop with a Pro, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

With the ability to spin a 17ft 0.25in titanium hula hoop that earned her the Guinness World Records title for the Largest Hula Hoop Spun (female), Getti Kehayova is now sharing her tips and tricks with others through her Airbnb Experience. As well as hula hooping with a pro, guests will also get the chance to see and have photos with the 17ft hula hoop.

Brittany Walsh - Farthest arrow shot using feet Acrobatics with a Circus Performer, Portland, Oregon, USA.

Brittany, the Guinness World Records title holder for the farthest arrow shot using feet (12.31m), will be hosting an exclusive Experience where guests can witness her incredible feat - if you'll kindly excuse the pun - before dipping their toes into circus acrobatics.

Michelle Kinney - Most weight lifted by atlas stone lifts in one minute Learn how to Lift Atlas Stones, Colorado, USA.

After lifting over 530kg ( 539.77 kg) of weight to achieve her Guinness World Records title, Michelle is sharing her techniques with others exclusively on Airbnb Experiences, with guests lifting their own atlas stone by the end of their time with Michelle.

Curated to inspire a broad audience, the Record Holders collection includes Experiences from a selection of those featured in the GWR 2020 edition and beyond. Other Guinness World Records stars turned Experience hosts on Airbnb include:
