Embraer has appointed Antonio Carlos Garcia as
Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations Officer, replacing
Nelson Salgado, who has been appointed as Embraers Chief
Operations Officer.
The change is effective 1 January
2020 and Salgado will remain in his current position as Chief
Financial Officer and Investor Relations Officer until 1 January
2020.
Antonio Garcia has extensive experience in
Finance, Accounting and Procurement at multinational companies.
He
worked for nine years at ThyssenKrupp, where he served as the
global CFO of the Forged Technologies business unit, in Germany.
Before that, he worked for six years at the ZF Group, in Brazil,
and over 18 years at Siemens, in various business segments.
Garcia
has a Bachelors degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in
Business Administration.
Nelson Salgado, who has worked at Embraer for
over 30 years, will lead Embraers operations as Chief Operations
Officer.
With a Bachelors degree, Masters and PhD in
Engineering, as well as an MBA, Salgado began his career as an
engineer and has held several executive positions within the
company since then.
