Sabre has appointed Abdul Iyer as Regional Director
-
Southeast Asia.
In this role, Iyer will oversee business
development activities, drive sales and support joint venture
market sales initiatives in the Indochina region, including
Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.
Abduls intricate knowledge of the regions priorities has
been a crucial part of our business achievements. With this new appointment as regional director, Abdul will remain a key
contributor to our success as we continue to expand our footprint
in Southeast Asia, said Todd Arthur, vice president of Sabre
Travel Network, Asia Pacific.
Having joined Sabre
in 2008, Iyer has taken on several roles leading consulting,
strategic planning, and conversion sales. In his new appointment
spearheading Sabres strategic business development, he led
efforts to secure top accounts in South and Southeast Asia.
Prior
to Sabre, Iyer served as senior consultant at Ernst & Young,
managing projects across multiple industries.
Iyer
holds a degree in Business Administration and Chinese from Trinity
University, after having completed substantial coursework in
Beijing University and Fudan University. Additionally, Iyer is Six
Sigma Black Belt certified.
