InterContinental Hotels Group has signed its
fourth Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Singapore.
Expected to open in 2018, the Holiday Inn
Express Singapore Serangoon will be situated at
the crossroads of Little India and Serangoon, close to Singapore’s
commercial and industrial areas.
The select service hotel will add
120 rooms to Jalan Besar, which is home to many food outlets
including Chye Seng Huat Hardware café, Char Restaurant and the
1952 Brewing Company brewery, bar and restaurant.
As well as
independent dining experiences, the area is favoured for its
hipster coffee shops and retro shopping experiences. Little India
and its eclectic roadside stalls are just a five-minute walk away,
while the closest MRT is just 500 metres away.
Rajit
Sukumaran as Chief Development Officer EMEAA East, IHG, said,
“Across South East Asia we are strategically growing the
much-loved Holiday Inn Express brand. We are delighted to be
bringing our fourth Holiday Inn Express to Singapore in
partnership with Toledo International.”
The hotel will feature a fitness centre, meeting
and laundry facilities, and the ‘Great Room’ with a complimentary
guest breakfast buffet and a grab-and-go-style market pantry.
There are currently 2,572 Holiday Inn Express hotels
(more than 258,000 rooms) open globally, with over 740 in the
pipeline.
