Vietnam will host the 38th ASEAN
Tourism Forum (ATF) in Halong, a part of the country which is
rapidly expanding its already impressive tourism offerings with a
new airport and improved infrastructure.
Some 1,500 delegates will attend the ATF 2019,
comprising of
ministerial, NTO, official meeting delegates, as well as TRAVEX suppliers from across all 10 ASEAN member states, international
buyers and media.
ATF TRAVEX, the largest and most diverse annual
showcase of ASEAN suppliers, will feature travel industry exhibitors from
Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia,
Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam,
looking to connect with the hosted buyers and media representatives from
around the world.
The 3-day ATF TRAVEX 2019, which
takes place 16-18 January, will aggregate 75 official sessions
with Vietnam organising a programme
packed with numerous social activities including pre and
post-show tours, the opening ceremony, welcome reception and
dinner, a golf tournament and a farewell party for
delegates.
Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism
of Vietnam, H.E. Nguyen Ngoc Thien, said, “The
people of Quang Ninh province are ready to welcome delegates and
guests. We are honoured to host ATF and look forward to inviting
all visitors to experience the natural beauty and warmth of our
people. We are ready to embrace all ASEAN states to drive
connectivity and sustainable tourism to Vietnam and the region as
