Global Exchange, a Spanish multinational company that specialises in providing currency exchange services at
international airports and other major tourist locations, has
opened its first outlets in Asia at Hong Kong International
Airport (HKIA).
Seven out of the ten outlets covered under a
foreign exchange concession awarded to Global Exchange in
October 2017 are already offering round the clock services to passengers
at HKIA, while the next three outlets are to open in March,
September and November.
Isidoro J. Alanís, President and CEO of the
Global Exchange Group, said, "Hong Kong is a major passenger transport gateway
into Asia and China, thus we are pleased to be in Hong Kong to
become a part of this globally important airport. We are proud to
open these new Global Exchange offices that combine the most innovative design with the highest quality standards in the world.
The deployment of advance technology at our offices is aimed at offering multilingual communication that facilitates attentive
services to international tourists travelling to or from Hong Kong
International Airport."
Hong Kong International Airport is a
strategically significant hub because it is the pre-eminent
gateway into Asia and China, and the world's third busiest in
terms of number of international passengers, with more than 72
million users, just behind Heathrow Airport in London and Dubai
Airport in the United Arab Emirates.
