NYC & Company, New York City’s official
destination marketing organization, has opened a regional
representative office in Singapore.

York City to those in
Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
NYC & Company’s President and CEO Mr Fred Dixon,
said, “We are pleased to open
our newest international tourism outpost in Singapore, serving the
Southeast Asia region. Given the region’s considerable tourism
growth and the launch of two new non-stop flights this month from
the region to New York City, the opportunity was right to
establish a more formal marketing and promotional presence here.
We are delighted to be the first US city to commence a dedicated
focus in the Southeast Asia region.”
In 2017, New
York City welcomed approximately 227,000 visitors from Southeast
Asia comprising 46,000 from Vietnam; 63,000 from Philippines;
43,000 from Singapore; 33,000 from Indonesia; 19,000 from
Malaysia; and 23,000 from Thailand.
